Oats Dosai!

If you think about it, we are living a life where we hardly remember what do we eat! Well, take a moment and think what did you eat for breakfast or lunch today? Was it nutritious enough? I do agree that there is a constant urge in all of us to stay fit. Let us not succumb to the daily sounds and lose ourselves to the amplified noise that the life may throw at us! So, you can add this recipe to one of the nutritious diets!

As the world around is ranting about Oats, I thought it is a good time to mix the Dosa (mentioned in the last post) and Oats and get a dish ready for your plates!

So, this is how you go about it...The below mixture would serve around 25-30 dosas!

Things needed:

1. Oats - 4 cups (800 grams)
2. Urud dhal - 1 cup (200 grams)
3. Salt as needed

Method:

1. Soak Urud dhal for around 15-20 minutes. Add water to an extent that it is immersed well.
2. Soak Oats in sufficient quantity of water so that it is immersed for 5 minutes
3. Add sufficient amount of salt to taste. Grind Oats and Urud dhal in a mixer grinder
4. The batter is ready to be made into dosas.
5. Cook the dosas and serve with different variety of Chutneys or Idly chilly powder

So, you get protein content from Urud Dhal and all the nutrition(Vitamil B1 + Dietary Fiber) from Oats..What are you waiting for? Try this and let me know if you liked it!
